COURSE PRESENTATION
This is a 2-day course, all day Friday and Saturday morning, in the city of Porto, within the scope of functional and aesthetic rhinoseptoplasty.

Day 1 – Focuses on the theoretical component but intends to be essentially practical, using anatomical models and “live” surgeries at Hospital CUF Porto.

Day 2 – Participants that register for Day 2 (maximum attendance of 10 participants) will be present in the operating room as assistants in the surgeries at Hospital CUF Porto. 

It intends to be an annual course revealing the latest developments in this area's evaluation, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment. To reinforce this objective, national and international colleagues of reference in this area will be invited.

All participants will receive an Atlas of Rhinoseptoplasty at the course.

Residents and specialists in Otorhinolaryngology, Plastic and Maxillofacial surgery.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES >> KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO DEVELOP
  1. Know in detail the nasal anatomy and physiology.
  2. Recognize the signs and symptoms most frequently associated with aesthetic and/or functional deformities of the nose. 
  3. Interpret complementary diagnostic tests, namely nasal imaging.
  4. Know how to evaluate the patient and establish an adequate preoperative surgical plan. 
  5. Know the indications and procedures to perform nasal surgeries concomitant with rhinoplasty.
  6. Know the indications and surgical procedures for correction of nasal deformities at the level of the radix, dorsum, tip, and nasal valves.
