COURSE PRESENTATION
Currently, there are a variety of health professionals who participate in the diagnosis and treatment of valvular diseases, assuming the role of coordinators of valve intervention programs, clinical cardiologists, imaging specialists, interventionists, surgeons or product specialists. Together they must share their specific knowledge and experiences, but all should have a global vision on the subject, which makes this collaboration more successful. On the other hand, hospital organizations must prepare specialists in valvular diseases who can help teams in the increasingly complex and demanding process of clinical decision-making regarding these patients.

This course provides a transversal approach to the essentials of the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with mitral and tricuspid valve disease, responding to the various needs for updating in an area that is characterized by great evolution and dynamism.

Participants will have the possibility to review the fundamental theoretical principles, practice the new advanced echocardiography modalities, get in touch with the new percutaneous and surgical procedures and with the patient selection process. The acquired competences will allow the different professionals not only to improve their performance, but also to become familiar with the full array of mitral and tricuspid valve disease management.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The course is aimed at cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, cardiac imagers, residents with specific training in these specialties, other health professionals who actively participate in valve intervention programs and industry specialists in valve disease.
